We’re excited to reveal the May 2025 Bird Fun Box, a bird subscription box packed with enrichment for parrots of all sizes.
This month’s theme is Berry Birdie Adventure — inspired by the colors of berries and greens, and filled with toys, treats, and bonding fun to keep your bird happy and engaged.
Whether you share your home with a playful cockatiel, a busy conure, or a clever African grey, this parrot box was designed with their curiosity and well-being in mind.
What’s Inside the May Bird Fun Box?
Here’s what was included in the Berry Birdie Adventure box:
🍓 Berry Playtime Collection (3 Handmade Toys)
This month’s toys were handmade using berry-toned colors like strawberry red, raspberry pink, blueberry purple, and fresh garden green.
Each toy was full of textures like vine, crinkle paper, palm leaf, and soft woods that encouraged chewing, shredding, and natural foraging behavior.
Each box was tailored to the bird’s size — whether you’ve got a budgie or a macaw, everybirdie got just the right fit!
🥦 Christine’s Chop Shop Freeze-Dried Broccoli
The featured treat was a crunchy, nutrient-rich snack from Christine’s Chop Shop. Freeze-Dried Broccoli is great for supporting your bird’s health while adding a satisfying crunch to their day. It’s a clean, simple way to introduce healthy greens into their treat routine.
🧩 Bonding Activity: Berry Forage Adventure
Every Bird Fun Box includes a bonding activity to help bird parents connect with their flock. For May, we encouraged bird owners to create a berry-themed foraging tray — hiding small toy parts and broccoli pieces in a bed of colorful crinkle paper. It’s a fun, interactive way to build trust and encourage natural foraging instincts.
🦜 Rescue Spotlight: Parrots Haven Rescue & Sanctuary
In May, we featured Parrots Haven Rescue & Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
They rescue, rehabilitate, and provide sanctuary for parrots in need while educating bird owners and the public about responsible parrot care.
