By following our tips and tricks, you can customize the toy to fit your bird's personality and preferences.

Materials:

For this project, you'll need:

  • Clean, untreated popsicle sticks
  • Cardboard tube (such as a paper towel or toilet paper roll)
  • Colorful paper (such as tissue paper or construction paper)
  • Scissors
  • Twine or string

Instructions:

  1. Cut the cardboard tube into 3-inch sections.
  2. Take three popsicle sticks and lay them out side-by-side to form a triangle shape.
  3. Place the triangle of popsicle sticks on top of the cardboard tube section and tie twine or string tightly around the top of the tube to secure the popsicle sticks in place.
  4. Cut strips of colorful paper into 1-inch wide pieces.
  5. Wrap the paper strips around the cardboard tube section, covering it completely.
  6. Once the paper is wrapped around the tube, poke small holes into the paper and cardboard with scissors.
  7. Thread twine or string through the holes and tie knots at the ends to secure them in place.
  8. Hang the toy in your bird's cage or play area for them to enjoy.

Tips:

Always use non-toxic materials and avoid anything that may be harmful to your bird.

Change the toys frequently to keep your bird interested and engaged.
